Welcome to Sal's OriginalThe originators formerly of New York, Brooklyn and Staten Island come from a long line of professional butchers and accomplished cooks. In fact, a large picture of the originators grandfather in his Brooklyn butcher shop from 1223 hangs proudly at Sal's Original. Sal's Original wants it's customers to know that many years of knowledge and experience go into the preparation of their extensive catering menu.
One of Sal's Originals most famous food items is his Turkey London Broil. This delicious meat is so popular that people routinely come from different states to stock up on it. Sal obtained U.S. Patent #6,171,639 for his special lemon basil marinade used in the Turkey London Broil preparation.
Sal's Original offers fresh fruit platters, cheese platter, antipasto platters, deli sandwiches and a vast array of specialty items. One of Sal's specialties is Bruschetta Pasta - mini rigatoni with fresh-diced mozzarella, basil, extra virgin olive oil and chopped garlic. Another big hit is Chicken Valdostano - boneless chicken breast stuffed with parma prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and sauted in roasted garlic white wine sauce. A popular beef dish is Beef Burgundy - fresh cut sirloin with onions in a hearty burgundy and mushroom sauce. And don't forget the seafood! Shrimp Alla Vodka - jumbo shrimp cooked in a pink vodka cream sauce over linguine or orzo pasta. Sal's also has a large gourmet meat counter offering marinated and prime meat cuts.
